I put this together as a place to quickly grab this stuff. If you want docs (including Japanese ones), other support files, etc, I strongly suggest visiting the home pages listed.

Installing the files on this page will enable Japanese (SJIS) support on your Palm. J-OS is what enables it on the operating system level, elisa is the Japanese font used, and the dictionary is necessary to convert input kana into possible kanji's. KDIC is a program (that relies on J-OS) that, when combined with a dicitonary, allows you to carry an English/Japanese dictionary on your Palm.

• hackmstr.prc - you use this app to enable/disable J-OS (and has many other modules you can download too).
• dic-m.prc - the kana->kanji lookup dictionary

To use J-OS, enable it in the HackMaster app, then bring up the virtual keyboard (that's command-K) to write the romaji in (which is shown as kana, and converted to kanji when you space).

• kdic.prc - the app. you write the english, it gives you the nihongo.
• edict-ejje-All.pdb - the dictionary. You can actually use whatever dictionary you want (of various sizes), but this is the only one I found that has kanji AND readings. Unfortunately it weighs in a 2.6 MB (more than my 2 MB Palm V can handle).
• edict-je-All.pdb - the dictionary I use. It's smaller, but is missing the E->J part. (Both of these dictionaries came from the dictionary page off the main KDIC page.

Using this one is quite simple. More dictionaries are available from the home page. KDIC relies on J-OS.
