CRUX PPC 2.6 released

A new version of CRUX PPC, a port of the CRUX Linux distribution, has been released. CRUX PPC supports most recent PowerPC hardware platforms, including both 32- and 64-bit systems. See the release notes for more information.

penguinppc.org is the home of the PowerPC GNU/Linux project, the native port of GNU/Linux to the PowerPC processor. The site is is run and maintained by volunteers from the community. PowerPC GNU/Linux runs natively on PCI-based Apple Power Macintosh, many IBM and Motorola PReP and CHRP workstations, IBM pSeries and iSeries servers, Amiga Power-UP systems, and many embedded platforms that utilize the Motorola/Freescale and IBM/AMCC embedded PowerPC processors. The kernel supports multiple processors (SMP), which works on some Power Macintosh models and IBM servers.
