Terra Soft Announces Hack-a-thon II

Terra Soft Solutions, who hosted the original Hack-a-thon for Cell application development in January, has announced that Hack-a-thon II will be held in Austin next month, overlapping with the Power Architecture Developer Conference. Although only four days this time, the event will give programmers an opportunity to write and run code on a Sony PLAYSTATION 3 cluster.

PowerPC GNU/Linux runs natively on PCI-based Apple Power Macintosh, many IBM and Motorola PReP and CHRP workstations, IBM pSeries and iSeries servers, Amiga Power-UP systems, and many embedded platforms that utilize the Motorola/Freescale and IBM/AMCC embedded PowerPC processors. The kernel supports multiple processors (SMP), which works on some Power Macintosh models and IBM servers.
