Linux Symposium PlayStation3 Giveaway

The Linux Symposium has announced that they will host a contest for the best software on Power Architecture in categories such as power management and virtualization. The prizes will be five PlayStation 3s, which have been generating a lot of interest in the Linux community and beyond.

penguinppc.org is the home of the PowerPC GNU/Linux project, the native port of GNU/Linux to the PowerPC processor. The site is is run and maintained by volunteers from the community. PowerPC GNU/Linux runs natively on PCI-based Apple Power Macintosh, many IBM and Motorola PReP and CHRP workstations, IBM pSeries and iSeries servers, Amiga Power-UP systems, and many embedded platforms that utilize the Motorola/Freescale and IBM/AMCC embedded PowerPC processors. The kernel supports multiple processors (SMP), which works on some Power Macintosh models and IBM servers.
